The Cat in the Temple

The Cat in the Temple
Once upon a time, there was a cat in a temple which bothered the monks while they were meditating. Therefore their master asked them to take the cat to the back of the garden and tie it to a tree whenever they were practicing meditation. They did so for several years and tying the cat to the tree became part of their religion. After some years, their master passed away and the cat died too. The monks bought a cat to tie to a tree in order to observe the principles of meditation. Several years later, another great master wrote a treatise on the significance of tying a cat.
